Badger West Wine & Spirits, LLC is a distributor of wines and spirits in Northwestern Wisconsin. Badger West is part of the Badger Liquor network of distributors that includes Badger South in Milwaukee and Badger East in Fond du Lac.
Badger Liquor is a family-owned, privately held, Wisconsin company.
Northwestern Wisconsin has four regional markets; each with it’s own characteristics.
- Superior, Wisconsin, which draws customers from both Canada and neighboring Duluth, Minnesota.
- Hudson, River Falls and New Richmond area. This western part of our market is quickly becoming a
bedroom community for the Minnesota Metropolitan areas of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
- Eau Claire, Menomonie and Chippewa Falls (also known as the Chippewa Valley). This area has the
largest population base in our market with approximately 185,000 people.
- The Vacationland communities of Hayward, Cable, Bayfield and Spooner enjoy strong seasonal
business from people who visit either for vacations or have secondary homes in the area.
The 26 county area served by Badger West Wine & Spirits has a current customer base of approximately 2,500 accounts.
As a result, Badger West has a strong competitive position in the marketing area, controlling approximately 60% of Northwestern Wisconsin's wine and spirit volume.
