The Black Opal Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine of great finesse and character highlighting the very best of full-flavoured Australian red wine. The rich varietal blackcurrant, mint and spice nose is well supported by a palate that is full of fruit flavour, balanced by the subtle use of oak. The wine is warm in the mouth and the tannins are soft and well integrated. This is a classic Australian red wine made from the world’s most noble red variety.

A blend of 82% cabernet sauvignon and 18% merlot displays a classic elegance. A lifted bouquet of berry and cassis with a hint of mint, the palate continues with a rich full flavoured complexity. This wine has an excellent structure that is well balanced with natural acidity, fruit characters and soft tannins.

Black Opal Chardonnay is a vibrant mid straw colour. The bouquet has lovely aromas of peach, melon and cream, while the palate is rich and long with varietal Chardonnay fruit. The wonderful texture of this wine is complexed by the small portion of Malolactic fermentation, and the finish is long and dry.

An excellent example of the modern style shiraz that exhibits generous body and flavour. The bouquet gives plenty of plum and dark berry fruit characters with a hint of oak and varietal spice. The rich, soft palate is complexed by soft tannins and a fine oak character. The complex varietal character and soft oak tannin, distinguishes this wine and ensures it is extremely approachable in its youth.

A blend of 53% Shiraz and 47% Cabernet, this wine is a modern style exhibiting generous body and fruit flavour. The bouquet gives plenty of spicy plum characters from the Shiraz fruit with the Cabernet contributing rich blackcurrant and mint aromas. The palate of this medium bodied wine is rich and soft, complexed with subtle oak flavours and a soft tannin finish.
